Toasting the versatility of apples

Welcome to the Apple Festival at Royal Djurgården September 25-29, 2024!

At Hasselbacken we toast the versatility of the apple and its importance in the Nordic beverage tradition - at the bar you can order the Cloudy Apple drink with cognac, punch, sugar, apple, acidified water and cream.

There are more than 240 known apple varieties in Sweden and more than 120 of these are represented on Djurgården, the oldest dating from the 1860s. One of the varieties is Skansen's own, a variety that was discovered a few years ago.

Together with our neighbors on Djurgården, we welcome you into the world of apple taste. It can be a wonderful journey of discovery as each apple variety has its own scent and aroma and a unique relationship between sweetness and acidity.
