This summer we enjoy a car-free Djurgården and you are welcome

Between April 20 and September 15, 2024, the entrance to Djurgården via Djurgårdsbron will be closed at the following times: Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 10.00-17.00

The closure applies from the sign at Djurgårdsbron in the direction of Djurgården. A control station, "bommen", is located a little further along the road. The closure does not apply to buses, taxis or vehicles with a valid handicap permit, nor to cars with a pass permit.

Trams, the Djurgården ferry, buses and bicycles have free rein. Or why not take a walk? The easiest way to find public transport options is through the SL travel planner. Djurgården should be a place for people and not traffic jams, so the barrier is lowered during periods when many people want to visit us. A warm welcome!

We advise you to take an extra look at how you plan your trip and perhaps take some extra time.

CARS WITHOUT PERMITS
Cars that do not receive an approved visa are referred to parking lots in the immediate area. Around the corner in Östermalm and Gärdet there are 1,418 parking spaces within walking distance.

EXCEPTIONS TO THE BAN ON CROSSING THE DAIRY FARM BRIDGE
Goods transport, transport services, taxis, disabled users and residential traffic are exempt from the ban on crossing the bridge. These will be authorized by visa.

Prohibited right turn/prohibition to cross the bridge does not apply to buses (incl. tourist buses). Public transport operates in the public transport lane and is not subject to the right turn ban or prohibition to drive over Djurgårdsbron.

Other parking lots near Djurgården
Around the corner in Östermalm and Gärdet, there are 1,418 parking spaces within walking distance. Here are our tips:

• Garrison outdoor parking, 219 spaces, Linnégatan 87-89
• Garrison garage, 500 spaces, Banérgatan 30
• Fältöverstens garage, 384 spaces, Värtavägen 9
• Källhagen outdoor parking, 145 spaces, Djurgårdsbrunnsvägen
• Sjöhistoriska museet's outdoor parking lot, 175 spaces, Djurgårdsbrunnsvägen

How to get to us on Djurgården without a car

Bus
Bus 67 runs from Odenplan to Blockhusudden with many stops on Djurgården.

Boat
Take the Djurgården ferry (line 82) from Slussen to the Allmänna gränd stop (10 minutes). During the summer, the Djurgården ferry also serves Nybroplan.

Line 80 runs between Frihamnen and Nybroplan, via Dalénum (Lidingö) - Nacka strand - Blockhusudden (certain times) - Kvarnholmen (Nacka) - Finnboda (Nacka) - Saltsjöqvarn (Nacka) - Allmänna gränd (Djurgården).

Tram
Take the tram from T-centralen to the Liljevalchs/Gröna Lund stop (13 minutes).
